Osmocote is a granular fertilizer designed for indoor or outdoor use on flowering and foliage plants. Osmocote Plus is designed to release nutrients into the soil gradually over time, versus a water based fertilizer that works to quickly transfer nutrients. There is a no-burn pledge when used as directed. Osmocote is the all in one solution for the serious gardener. One application contains 11 essential nutrients and feeds up to 6 months. Works with virtually all plant varieties and growing conditions. Each granule is coated with a unique resin that controls nutritional release. Plants get what they need, when they need it.
Osmocote Plus Indoor and Outdoor Fertilizer is simple and easy to use. The 1 pound and 2 pound sizes come in a plastic container that can be shaken and mixed into the ground. Alternately, all 3 containers come with a small plastic measuring cup that can be used to mix specific amounts of fertilizer with soil. The granules come with a special outer coating that prevents fertilizer burn by releasing nutrients slowly, as long as the directions on the container are followed. Typically, Osmocote Plus Indoor and Outdoor Fertilizer is best mixed with new potting soil while planting new containers for houseplants or mixed containers outdoors. For larger plants going in the ground, like perennials, shrubs or trees, Osmocote Plus Indoor and Outdoor Fertilizer can be mixed into the existing soil or any soil amendments that are being added while the plant goes in the ground.
The 1 pound container covers up to 37 square feet. The 2 pound container covers up to 75 feet, while the 8 pound bag covers up to 300 feet. All sizes contain granular fertilizer and a measuring scoop; directions for use are located on the reverse side of the packaging.
